Saint-Jérôme, founded in 1834, saw its Labelle Street develop into a main street with shops since the 19th century. The priest Antoine Labelle encouraged the arrival of the railway, contributing to the growth of the region before the transformation of the city in 1895. Merged in 2002 with Bellefeuille, Lafontaine, Saint-Jérôme (center) and Saint-Antoine, the city went from a working-class center to a dynamic city with shops, restaurants, schools and health institutions. Each year, festivals such as Saint-Jérôme Folk, Les Estivaux, and P'tit Fest du Nord celebrate local and international artists, while the World Festival highlights the cultures of the Laurentians. These events are held downtown, near the Claude-Henri-Grignon Cultural Center.
This building has an ideal location. In addition, each unit is equipped with five appliances, air conditioning, Internet and private parking with charging station. It is located a few minutes from highway 15, the central station, as well as a few steps from downtown, CEGEP and the university.
Spoil yourself with a good coffee from La Petite Voisine before your outdoor activities at Lac Jérôme, where you can go biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. On Sundays, take advantage of the Saint-Jérôme public market, open from April 15 to November 15, to buy fresh products directly from local producers. Stop right in front of the Yannick cheese factory, which offers a wide choice of artisan cheeses, and pick up 2-3 fresh baguettes at Deux Gars in Le Pétrin for the week, not to mention your sausages from charcutier William J. Walter (William Suisse).
For a good “cheat day”, nothing better than an old classic. At Johnny's, a local institution in Saint-Jérôme since 1945: club, fries, side sauces, bottled coke... But if you went there last week and want a change, Le Dic Ann's is not far away. For a good craft beer after work, we recommend, Les Brasseurs du Dieu du Ciel, inside or on their terrace.
Remember that the Saint-Sauveur ski slopes are only 15 minutes away.
Welcome to the neighbourhood!
